About Me

Hi there! I’m Wenyi Song, but feel free to call me Sherry!

🎶 Currently I received my Ph.D degree at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) , where I’m fortunate to be supervised by Prof. Andrew Brian Horner in his lab.

Music is my jam! 🎻 My research focuses on computer music, especially the emotional vibes of different musical instruments and excerpts. I’m diving deep into the world of cross-cultural instruments like the erhu and violin, uncovering how their acoustic features and musical passages share similarities—or dance to their own unique tunes.

Oh, and I’ve got big dreams! I wanna make music more understandable for everyone through music visualization, while also bringing Chinese music and culture to the global stage. 🌏🎵

Here is my CV/个人简历, and I am actively exploring job opportunities!
